An answer to ‘why is Christ’s human will supernatural?’

by Newnameelizabeth

“God then is mingled with everything, maintaining their nature: and in His holy flesh the God-Word is made one in subsistence and is mixed with our nature, yet without confusion.”

St. John of Damascus on The Place of God and More (Energetic Procession)

He uses the analogy of a red hot coal or steel being forged retaining the nature of fire and of steel. I’m drawing the conclusion that Christ’s human will is permeated by His divine will, yet retaining the nature of both without confusion. I guess this is what makes His human will supernatural.
