Two skin deeps

Non-white people can feel passed over. Having reached 50 with pretty, attention-getting daughters stealing the show, I see what that feels like. There is however an alternate response to invisibility besides envy and protest. 50 also brings peace by oneself and less neediness for public validation.

Trans men have drunk the cultural koolaid that says happiness comes with having bigger boobs and a smaller waist.
