Friday night in with the movies
by Andrea Elizabeth
Somehow in my Forty’s centric film viewing I missed Edward G. Robinson, an actor I’ve watched the past two Friday nights in a row over Chinese takeout. The first Catholic values movie, full of midlife crisis suspense and mystery, was The Woman in the Window.
The second, a little less mysterious, but darker, more detailed, and disturbing was Scarlet Street. Scarlet Street was made the same year by the same director, Fritz Lang, and with the same two costars, Joan Bennett and Dan Duryea. If these two movies wont scare you straight, then nothing will.
